A headland about 1km S of Ben Buckler trig station and about 1km NE of Mackenzies Point.
Origin
Was first named Benbecula by Governor Macquarie because of its resem blance to a place in which he had lived in the Hebrides.(Maritime Serv ices Board-Port of Sydney Vol-9 No. 2 September 1965). Several theori es on origin (1) named by Gov. Macquarie after similar place in Scotla nd; (2) after an old convict Ben Buckley; (3) a corruption of native
