A locality within a small valley in Sydney Harbour National Park situated about 400 metres WNW of Dobroyd Head.

The area is similar in shape to a Volcanic Crater. Fredrick Charles Williams foundation member of the Balgowlah Progress Association (1923) & Foundation Member of The Rangers League frequented a hut built about 1923 by his son & named the hut The Crater.
