A small village situated on the Mooki River approximately 9.5 km south of the town of Caroona. Boundaries within the Quirindi Council area shown on map GNB3799.
Meaning
Name derived from ridge which was named Pine Ridge from the Pine forest on the ridge
Origin
The village has developed on granted land (Private Village). There was an Inn there in the 1870s. (Quirindi Population in 1968 School in the Village. The 1862 county map indicates a village named Pine Ridge in 1860s
