History
This name was suggested by Mrs Maxine Shaw while undertaking local history research in the area.
Description
A recreational area bounded by Sunshine Parade and Rainbow Parade Peakhurst.
Origin
James Cawley Tucker was the original grantee of 190 acres covering the Peakhurst Heights peninsular. He was a Master mariner for the East India company and purchased the land in 1857 for one pound an acre shortly after the road to the south was built. The firm Tucker and Co. formed with his brother exists today.
