History
In 1964 the Council named the park Sohier Park after Mr Sohier. His daughter has requested that the reserve be renamed Bill Sohier Park to raise community awareness of the names origin and history.

A reserve located on Brush Road Ourimbah. It occupies lots 11-17 of DP 25139 Lot 5 of DP 3868 part of Portion 6 in File Plan 386095 and Lot 6 of DP 653892.
Origin
The park is named after Mr William James Sohier(1884-1971) in recognition of over sixty years voluntary work spent in establishing a sportsground in Ourimbah.
