Description
A mostly perennial stream rising about 6 km south of Waukivory. It flows generally west and south for about 21 km into Mammy Johnsons River.
Origin
Wards River was named by Robert Dawson agent of the Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) in February 1826. It was named after William Ward a member of the first Court of Directors AACo. (John Atchison memo March 1993)
