History
Nominated by Dr A Whitaker of Edgecliff in response to the Councils community consultation regarding the names of reserves.
Description
A reserve located on the corner of Melville Street and Gould Place at Parramatta.
Origin
Joseph Foveaux (06.04.1766 - 20.03.1846) commanded NSW Corps Garrison at Parramatta 1792-93 was the largest land and stock holder in the 1790s with farms at Toongabbie and Baulkham Hills and Government administrator of NSW in 1808-09.
