Description

A reserve located on the corner of Melville Street and Gould Place at Parramatta.

Origin

Joseph Foveaux (06.04.1766 - 20.03.1846) commanded NSW Corps Garrison at Parramatta 1792-93 was the largest land and stock holder in the 1790s with farms at Toongabbie and Baulkham Hills and Government administrator of NSW in 1808-09. He achieved Army rank of Lieutenant General in 1830. (Kass Liston McClymont Parramatta - Past Revealed)
