Description
A reserve situated on the corner of Markham Street and Mubo Crescent. It occupies Lot 481 of D P 234857.
Origin
Mubo Crescent adjoins. Mubo is a village located in NE New Guiinea between Salamaua and Wau and about 15 km inland from the Solomon Sea. Between June and July 1943 the Mubo area was the scene of heavy fighting between the Japanese Army and the Australian 17th Bde 6th Div. Aif until Mubo fell on 13 July 1943.
