History
Originally Aboriginal Bunnabi or bunnabri. (McCarthy; 1963).
Description
A trig. station about 1500 metres SE by S of La Perouse Trig. Station about 2 km E of Bare Island and about 1 km N by E of Cape Banks.
Origin
CAPE BANKS: named after Sir Joseph Banks by Capt. James Cook. (Information from Rockdale - Its Beginning & Development) RAHS Journal Vol I P. 36.
