using a radial gradient for background overlay

usually i just use linear gradients for my background elements but i noticed this one the other day, a radial gradient.

you can actually specify multiple colours and also opacity levels to overlay a background image and make it look even cooler...

HTML

<h3>Background with Radial Gradient</h3>
<div class='bg radial-gradient'>
  &nbsp;
</div>

<h3>Background with Radial Gradient and image overlay</h3>
<div class='bg bg-image'>
  &nbsp;
</div>

CSS

.bg {
  height:500px;
  width:100%;
  margin-bottom:20px;
}
.radial-gradient {
    background: radial-gradient(circle at left top,rgb(228 0 255 / 72%),rgb(103 205 165 / 78%) 51%,rgb(63 255 0 / 72%) 100%);
}
.bg-image {
	background: radial-gradient(circle at left top,rgb(228 0 255 / 72%),rgb(103 205 165 / 78%) 51%,rgb(63 255 0 / 72%) 100%), url(https://unsplash.it/900/700) center no-repeat;
  	background-size:cover;
}
