change selected color on input elements css

this can be useful if you are using darker form elements and they happen to have white on white text, so you can target the :focus on the input.

here is the text input before the colour change, the color on the input has been set to white and then another style is also setting the focus background to white making the form input unreadable.

And here we can see it with a nice orange border when selected. While still keeping the darker background and lighter text.

HTML

<div class='centered-padding'>
	<input id="form_name" name="fullname" required="" type="text" value="" placeholder="Name*" class="input_text">
</div>

CSS

.centered-padding {
  text-align:center;
  padding:30px;
}
.input_text {
  border:1px solid #4f5052;
  color:#FFF;
  background:#141618;
  padding:10px;
  border-radius:3px;
}
.input_text:focus{
  outline: 2px solid orange; /* change the outline to something that make the element look selected */
  background:#141618;
  color:#FFF;
}

Random CSS Property

conic-gradient()

The conic-gradient() CSS function creates an image consisting of a gradient with color transitions rotated around a center point (rather than radiating from the center). Example conic gradients include pie charts and color wheels. The result of the conic-gradient() function is an object of the <gradient> data type, which is a special kind of <image>.
