Using DOMDocument you can get strings between tags

Useful if you are processing raw html files with php

function getTextBetweenTags($string, $tagname){
    $d = new DOMDocument();
    $d->loadHTML($string);
    $return = array();
    foreach($d->getElementsByTagName($tagname) as $item){
        $return[] = $item->textContent;
    }
    return $return;
}

Just say i have a document with a h1 tag that i want to extract

I can just do this: getTextBetweenTags($string, "h1"); which will return my h1 as a text.
