The Game of Life is playing below. Each cell lives or dies, depending on its eight neighbors.

  • Living cells: Survive, only if they had exactly two or three living neighbors.
  • Dead cells: Spring to life, only if they had exactly three living neighbors.

Beautiful patterns emerge from these simple rules.
