History
The name was proposed by Keith Paull in response to the Mangrove Mountain Bicentennial Naming Project. (Paull K of Woy Woy naming proposal form dated 27 June 1997)
Description
A gully which runs from an area 6 km SE of Mount Baxter and 6.1 km SW of Mangrove Mountain Post Office. It is 1.0 km in length and flows in a southerly direction.
Origin
Daniel and Janet McIntosh lived in this area and ran the first post office from 1858 to 1875. Their daughter Catherine who died in 1865 aged 20 years is buried below the side of the road. (Glennie Rev diaries and Douglass A born 1896 of Wyong Nursing Home naming proposal form dated 27 June 1997)
