In 1828 it was estimated that Rouse owned 10000 acres ten years before he acquired Berkshire Park.

A locality in the city of Penrith about 11 km NNE of Penrith and about 9km SSE of Richmond. Boundaries within the Penrith Council area shown on map GNB3890.

Origin

Named after a grant of 320 acres made to Richard Rouse in 1838. By this date Rouse had many other land holdings in NSW including grants at North Richmond Bathurst Gulgong Warren and Wellington. (Place names & origins in Penrith Penrith City Council 1982).
