Description
A tall huge monolith surrounded by smaller tors. It is on the northern end of the disected plateau containing The Castle Mt. Owen etc. and about 5 miles east north east of Corang Peak.
Origin
A huge cliff girt mountain type of feature surround by other smaller monolith and separated by deep crevasse from the plateau of Mt.Owen. Descriptive name of the main tower of medieval fortifications. Named by Jim Sturgiss in use since c1930. Recommended by Names Review Committee 1966.
