A non-perennial watercourse approx. 870 m long rising 1.5 km SW by S of Munibung Hill and flowing generally SW into Cockle Bay.
Origin
Named after the early pioneer Hawkins family who operated a quarry and farmed near the creek. G Hawkins & Sons Transport and Construction firm was founded by George Hawkins in 1896. (Source: Lake Macquarie Council)
