History
Originally the site of this reserve was the site of the Government Experiment Farm where wheat was grown. It was named Morse Park in the 1930s but later the name was changed to the name of the individual.

A reserve in Bathurst bounded by Kendall Avenue (Gt Western Hwy) Havannah and Howick streets.
Origin
Alan Leslie Morse OBE AM (b 15.06.1911) occupied various positions on the Bathurst City Council from 1937 to 1961 and 1987 to 1991. When mayor in 1944 he prepared a blue print for the future. It included an olympic swimming pool a university a new city hall and expansion of playing fields over reclaimed land.
