Origin
Named after Kurt Fearnley OAM (dob 23.3.81) who was born in Carcoar. Kurt learned to race his wheelchair around the village streets and went on to become a gold medal winning paralympian and winner of numerous international marathons. Kurt received a Pierre De Coubertin Award and was a 2005 Young Australian of the Year finalist.
