History
Recorded on the 1934 map of the County of Hume.
Description
A lagoon of about 2.4 km in length situated on the Murray River floodplain. A channel connects the western end of the lagoon to boiling Down Creek. Their point of confluence is about 4 km SW of Corowa Airport. The lagoon is about 2.5 km SW of Corowa Airport and its area is about 86 ha.
Origin
Historical - named after Charles Cropper who took up the lease of Brocklesby Station in 1838. The lagoon was part of the station. In 1840 the lease was sold to Thomas Chapman.
