A mountain rising about 300 metres from Wambelong Creek. It is about 3 km NW by N of Needle Mountain and about 5 km SW by S of Mount Scabilion.
Origin
Named after Captain Frank Hurley a photographer who spent some time in the Warrumbungle Mountain in 1938.
