Description
A coastal town South of Airforce Beach and about 9.5km SE by E of the town of Woodburn.
Origin
Probably named after a marine surveyor Lt Evans RN who carried out the first marine survey of the coastline in the area. It is said that Admiral Rous named the headland but this does not appear in Rous log.
