Neilson Creek (CREEK), NSW Details
Description
A partly perennial stream rising about 6 km NNE of the locality of Bandon Grove. It flows generally south-west about 4.5 km into Mulconda Creek.
Origin
Named after a family of early settlers who moved to the area in the late 1840s. William Neilson (11.01.1845-16.05.1918) purchased land at Bandon Grove about 1879 where he ran dairy cattle. He had ten children and his great-grandson R.A Neilson still owns property in the area. (Information supplied by W.M. Lean on 25 November 1999).
