A long narrow stretch of water about one mile long where the waters of the Peel River enter the reservoir impounded by Chaffey Dam. Located about 2km south of Andersons Flat.

Origin

Named after Mr Charlie Mason who at least once a day used to ride his horse the one mile from his house near Andersons Flat to the store at Bowling Alley Point.
