Redbank School Gully (GULLY), NSW Details
History
This name was proposed by Noel Andrews of Kulnura in response to the Mangrove Mountain Bicentennial Naming Project. (Andrews N of Kulnura naming proposal form 19 June 1997)
Description
A gully which runs from an area 5.6 km SE of Mount Lockyer and 4.5 km W by S of Basalt Hill. It flows for 0.4 km in an easterly direction into Mangrove Creek.
Origin
This watercourse runs beside the site of the original school for the area. The school was named `Redbank School` because the soil was redder than at other places around. (Andrews N of Kulnura naming proposal form 19 June 1997)
