Description
A hill about 4 km SW by W from Eglinton and about 700 metres from Macquarie River downstream from Bathurst.
Origin
(R) PLEASANT MOUNT (Mount Stewart) Named by Assistant Surveyor Evans on 10 December 1813 and ascended by him on 21 December 1813 (HRA Series 1 v.8p.171 & 174). The name is also recorded in Governor Lachlan Macquaries journal of a Tour to the New Discovered Country in April 1815 (pp.102 103-4 of Journals
