Gananny property was a part of old Moredevil. The homestead on Por 129 Pringle (STMR Yarraman 016-940) and the well on Por. 28 Pringle (Yarraman 030-970 ) are on lands which with adjacent lands
Description
A non perennial stream rising in the mountains about 3.2 km south west of Pigeon Trigonometrical Station. It flows generally north east for about 32km when its course becomes indefinite north of the village of Spring Ridge. It is a tributary of Mooki River.
Meaning
Unknown. Probably a rendering of an Aboriginal name.
Origin
First use of name not traced; possibly it is a name in use on old Moredevil run of which the later Gananny property was a part. The name was in use in the 1870s and is on the 1877 county map.
