History
Construction of the dam commenced in 1967 was completed in 1969 and enlarged to its present size in 1994. The lake has been known as Lake Pindari since the dam was built.
Description
The body of water retained by the Pindari Dam on the Severn River. It is about 17km east south east of Ashford.

Origin
