A locality about 6 km NNE of Cooma and 4 km S by W of Harnet trig station. Boundaries within the Cooma-Monaro Council area shown on map GNB3753.
Meaning
Aboriginal Boonyan for pigeons resting place. Early name Reids Flats after D. Reid an early settler in 1830s. Name changed 1858. (Back to Cooma Celebration; P.23). Also: place of pigeons. (McCarth- y; 1963).
