Description

A reserve fronting Port Jackson and bounded on the west by Jeffreys St Kirribilli. It comprises land being part Lot 4 DP 567224 Lot 3 DP 567224 Lot 2 DP793871 and crown grant 1074. Also added is Lot 52 DP 858699 and Lot 101 DP 871097.

Origin

Henry Waterhouse arrived with the First Fleet as a midshipman on the Sirius. He assisted Bradley and Hunter in the first survey of Sydney Harbour. Promoted to lieutenant then was Second Captain on the Reliance in the Third Fleet. In 1796 he imported the first Merino sheep to the colony from Cape Town.
