Sandell Pass (PASS), NSW Details
Description
A pass through the escarpment between Castle Head and the Clyde River.
Origin
Owen Sandell discovered this pass in 1950s. He had worked with Graeme Mitchell on his early bushwalker map of The Vines. He drowned on the Hume Weir while canoeing as Outward Bound Instructor August 15th 1963. Name used by bushwalkers since pass discovery and recommended by Names Review Committee.
