Description
Glennies Creek Dam is located 39 km upstream the junction of Glennies Creek with the Hunter River and about 25 km N of Singleton and about 1500 m SSW of Baybuck Hill. The body of water created by Glennies Creek Dam is known as Lake St Clair.
Origin
The creek and the dam are both named after James Glennie a former Captain of the Royal Navy who was granted creek frontage land near the Hunter River junction in 1824. (Maj.Rur.Dams.NSW. Dep. L&WC).
