A town about 10 km ESE of Wingham and about 6 km NE of Tinonee. Boundaries within the Greater Taree Council area shown on map GNB3806.
Meaning
Also: said to come from tarrebit for fruit of the wild fig (not verified). (Appleton; 1992). Also: wild fig fruit. (McCarthy. 1963).
