Description

A reserve bounded by Rowan Crescent and Curry Street Merewether. Located about 3km south of Hamilton Railway Station and 4km south west of Newcastle Railway Station.

Origin

Named after five brothers Jack Jim Harry Bill and Alf Gibbs. All commenced plahying Rugby League football when living at Merewether and all began their playing careers with South Newcastle Rugby League Football Club. Two of the brothers Jim and Alf toured England as members of an Australian Kangaroo Touring Team.
