Description
A four-platformbelow-ground station. It is located 400 metres from the Olympic Stadium and adjacent to the Sydney Showground. This rail line connects the existing main western rail line between Flemington and Lidcombe stations via the Pippita rail corridor which formerly provided rail access to the State Brickworks and the State Abattoir. Origin
The name was chosen to commemorate the use of the area for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
