Foxes Gap (SADDLE), NSW Details
Description
A low saddle in a north/south unnamed ridge between the Snowy Mountains Highway and the Goobarragandra River traversed by a 4WD and the Hume and Hovell Walking Track. It is 5.40km east of the Tumut River Snowy Mountains Highway bridge.
Origin
Historically used by local residents around the 1900s for fox drives (and eventual fox shooting at the gap).
