A reservoir of water impounded by the Windamere Dam on the Cudgegong River about 23 km SE by E of Mudgee. (a 35300 megalitre capacity dam)

Origin

The name Windamere originated from the property on which the dam is sited the property Windamere was owned by Mr John Valentine Phillips before it was acquired by the Commission (W.R.C) in 1973.
