History
The Minister for Land and Water Conservation Mr Kim Yeadon visited the site on 14 September 1995 and opened the enlarged storage saying that it was intended to assign this name to the storage.
Description
The body of water retained by the Pindari Dam on the Severn River. It is about 17km east south east of Ashford.
Origin
Keith Alfred Coulton MBE b 21-6-1929. In 1956 he was the first to use bore water for irrigation in northern NSW. He planted the first cotton in the MacIntyre Valley in 1977. A driving force behind the formation of various water user associations he is the Chairman NSW Border Rivers Counciland had a pivotal role in enlarging Pindari Dam.
