History
Name adopted by the Council at its meeting on 14 June 1994.
Description
A reserve occupying lots 32-40 of DP 2163 at Erina. It is located in Girraween Avenue and contains a childrens playground.
Origin
Named after an early landholder Sydney John Sherar (23.09.1909 - ...10.1983). Mr Sherar donated several parcels of land to Council for the construction of a childrens playground. Until his death he fought to have the land established as a childrens playground.
