Description
The spit of land extending from Fingal Head in a NNW direction for about 3 km to South Head.
Origin
Named after the Letitia the first sailing boat of any size to enter the Tweed River. The Letitia anchored inside the Tweed River along the sandy spit on the south head in July 1840.
