History
Name proposed by Mrs Rutherford a descendant of Mitchells.
Description
A reserve running between Pye Road Quakers Hill and Sampson Crescent at Acacia Gardens. It also has access to Corinne Street and Alamar Crescent. It occupies Lot 102 of DP 748446 Lot 127 of DP775650 Lot 1 of DP 790751 Pt 701 of DP 792249 Lot 22 of DP 808717 and lots 15-16 of DP 818040.
Origin
Named after Henry Mitchell (1875 -1964) who arrived in Quakers Hill from England in 1917. He played a big part in establishing the poultry industry in the area and was active in community issues up until his death in 1964.
