A prominent mountain about 4.8 km west by north of Marowin Mt and about 4.2km east by north of Rocky Peak Trig Station.

Origin

Aboriginal: split broken open. An 800ft precipice near the top of Mount Banda Banda was responsible for this name. (Reed 1967)
