History
The lighthouse was built in 1883 was the first cast concrete light- house tower constructed in Australia and is the second tallest in NSW at 29 metres. It is the southernmost lighthouse in NSW.
Description
The Green Cape Lighthouse Trig. Station is the centre of the black ball on Green Cape Lighthouse situated on Green Cape. The lighthouse is located approx. 4.5 km SE of Skelton Hill and about 6 km SSE of Bittangabee Bay. TS10206
Origin
Green Cape Lighthouse Trig. Station is named because of its location on Green Cape. Was connected to the Trig. Survey of NSW shortly after the tower was built in 1883.
