Description
A line about 180 km long that marks the border between New South Wales and Victoria. It extends from a spring at the source of the Murray River named Indi Springs on an azimuth of approximately 116 degrees to Conference Point about 400 m SSW of Cape Howe. The line passes closer to Forest Hill T.S. (Vic) and Tingaringy T.S. (Vic) and through the Tennyson T.S. Mt Buckle T.S. Carlyle T.S. and Wauka T.S. (* Filed in Eden 8823 1:100 area)

Named after the Victorian Surveyors Mr Alexander Black and Mr Alexander C. Allan who between 1870 and 1872 surveyed and marked the straight eastern section of the N.S.W./Victoria border.
