History
George Wyndham formed Collyblu run in the early 1830s (Quirindi Herald Souvenir M/L Q 991.8/H and other sources.) George Wyndham claimed lease for Collyblu 40000 ac in 1848. (G.G. 1848 page 1244).

The spur running east west at the southern end of a ridge which itself runs north-south situated about 4.8km north of the town of Colly Blue.

The name Colly Blue is derived from the run of this name embracing the area and formed in the early 1830s the earliest surviving form of the name is Collyblu.
