Origin

Located between Mt. Elliott and Quiltys Mountain. Forming the eastern escarpment of Hidden Valley. Known locally and named after James Henry Sturgiss. Sassafras resident 1895 - 1983 grazier notable explorer of region and gifted raconteur.
