History
Name proposed by A Douglass for the Mangrove Mountain Districts Community Group. Supported by the Darkinjung Aboriginal Land Council Gosford Council Forests and NP&WS.
Description
A gully 0.5 km in length which starts at a point 5.8 km NW of Moat Trigonometrical Station and 1.5 km SW of the Ironbark Road bridge over Ironbark Creek. The gully runs in an easterly direction into Ironbark Creek.
Origin
Around 1900 Mr Lloyd Jones became the first teacher at the Mangrove Mountain Public School.
