History
It is conjectured that it was the name given to his selection in 1890 on the Middle Arm of the Tweed Rv. (Oxley Rv) by Mr W R Isaacs first manager of CSR sugar mill. The name became identified with the area.

A locality traversed by the Oxley River about 9km SW of Murwillumbah. A bounded address locality. Also assigned a a rural place. Boundaries within the Tweed Council area shown on map GNB3810.
Meaning
