Description
A mountain rising about 470 metres from Tumbarumba Creek. It is about 7 km WSW of Maragle Mountain and about 7 km NNW of Tooma.
Origin
Believed to have been named prior to 1850 after James Garland who came to Australia with the 28th Regimant resigned in 1837 and took up the Tooma Run(Darbalena) with a fellow officer Mr. Gledhill as his partner.
