A mountain rising 390 metres from Duval Creek. Situated about 10 km west of killalee Trig. Station and about 11 km NNW of Armidale. Changed by Erratum (Folio 6127) 4 August 2006 from Duval Mount to Mount Duval.

Named after a stockman Duval of Capt. Dumaresq. (Information from The Beardies Heritage - E. C. Sommerland P. 14)
